Privacy Policy for Google Account Connections
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This page explains how Maccabee Design and Consulting (a Maryland business in formation, "we," "us") handles information from Google accounts that connect to our private tool. It is the privacy policy linked from that tool's Google sign-in screen.
Who uses this tool
This is a private tool. It is not offered to the public and has no public sign-up. It lets software that works for our firm act inside a small, fixed set of Google accounts that our principals and staff personally control. Only the owner of one of those accounts can approve a connection.
What Google data the tool accesses, and why
When the owner of one of those accounts signs in with Google and clicks "Allow," the tool can access that account's:
- Gmail: read, search, label, archive and trash messages, and create and send drafts and messages.
- Google Calendar: read, create, change and delete events.
- Google Drive: read, search, create, change, move and trash files and folders.
- Google Docs, Sheets and Forms: read and edit documents and spreadsheets, and create forms and read their responses.
We use this data only to do the tasks the account owner asks for, such as sorting and labeling mail, drafting replies for the owner to approve, scheduling, and organizing or editing the owner's own documents and sheets.
How we use and share it
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to advertisers, data brokers, or information resellers.
- We do not use it for advertising, including retargeting or interest-based ads.
- We do not use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
- The tool is operated by software, including artificial-intelligence assistants, acting for the account owner. To do a task, the mail or file content that the task needs is sent to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) that we use to carry out the task.
- Other than that, we transfer Google user data to another party only when it is needed to provide a feature the account owner asked for, needed for security, required by law, or the account owner has agreed to it.
- People at the firm other than the account owner do not read the content of Google user data unless the owner asked them to look at a specific item, or it is needed for security or required by law.
How we store it, and for how long
- Access credentials. The access credentials Google issues to the tool are stored on computers the firm controls, and the tool can be reached only from the computer it runs on. We keep them until the account owner revokes access or asks us to delete them.
- Content. The tool itself does not store message or file content; it reads it from the Google account when a task needs it. But the work done with that content is recorded. Notes, summaries, excerpts, logs, drafts and, in some cases, copies of messages that our software produces or saves while doing a task may be stored on computers the firm controls and in the firm's private code repository, which is hosted by GitHub and open only to people the firm has authorized. We keep them as part of the firm's business records.
- Activity log. The tool keeps a log of what it did: the time, the kind of action, the target (for example a recipient address, an event title, a file name or an item identifier) and the result.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Take back access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Choose the app and select "Remove access." The tool can no longer reach your account from that moment.
- Ask us to delete. Write to us at the address below. We will delete the stored credentials for your account right away, and take reasonable steps to delete other data we hold that came from your Google account, except where the law or a security investigation requires us to keep it.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If what the tool does with Google data changes, we will update this page, and its "last updated" date, before the change takes effect.
